The Nature Story
Through my photographs I hope to capture images that tell stories. Stories that somehow express the fragile and fleeting nature of life, where beauty may be found in the most simplest of moments.
The Spiritual in Art
As Vincent Van Gogh once said "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." In this image called "The Sunflowers," I feel there is something ethereal about this photograph, where the light, composition and colors come together to create a picture that embodies the spiritual in art. It is also an ode to Van Gogh as sunflowers were a common theme in many of his paintings.
My Background
My first experience of art was in seeing the beautiful stained-glass windows at the Holy Family Church, my Parish as a young Catholic girl in New Rochelle, NY. I remember being in awe of the colors and filled with wonder about why and how they were made. I fell in love with art.
